RED CLOUD TOURISM & COMMERCE PROUD TO OFFER COVID-19 VACCINATION INCENTIVE
Thanks to a generous contribution from an anonymous donor, Red Cloud Tourism & Commerce is pleased to announce an incentive program for anyone age 12 and over who has still not received their COVID-19 vaccination.
Starting immediately, each time a Webster County resident receives a COVID-19 vaccination shot at the Webster County Community Hospital, he/she will receive $20 in “Chamber Bucks” from Hospital staff – so if a resident gets two shots, he/she will be entitled to a total of $40. Chamber Bucks work the same as cash and can be spent at any Red Cloud business. Chamber Bucks will be given out until the funds from the donor run out. Please contact the Webster County Community Hospital at 402-746-5600 to set up your vaccination appointment.
As of July 15, 2021, 31% of Webster County residents were fully vaccinated, compared to 49% of Nebraskans who are fully vaccinated. And over 99% of new COVID deaths are folks who have not been vaccinated. Getting the vaccination now will protect you and your loved ones – especially kids under 12. Vaccines will prevent outbreaks like the ones occurring in Missouri and Arkansas from happening here, and will help to ensure our lives won’t again be disrupted by a resurgence of the virus later this summer.
