Celebrating Women
Celebrating Women
The National Willa Cather Center is pleased to present Celebrating Women, a fiber arts exhibit featuring the work of fourteen talented fiber artists. Highlighting the accomplishments of women through the decades, this exhibit was created to celebrate the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which granted American women the right to vote. This exhibit celebrates that landmark event by honoring admirable and groundbreaking women and their experiences. Whether grandmothers or historic figures, all women have a story, and these artists shine their light on these women and their lives as representatives of all women, everywhere, who have paved the way.
This stunning exhibit was co-curated by Dianne Duncan Thomas and Cynthia Levis and includes work from: Dianne Duncan Thomas, Cynthia Levis, Rhonda Baldwin, Debo Hysack, Peg Pennell, Marilyn Rembolt, Megan Patent-Nyrgen, Roberta Price Willet, Chris Taylor, Marge Bresel, Aimee Mahan, Dorothy Heidemann-Nelson, and Mary Kiteley.
